Today Mr. Herry gave us the test results and I failed. i will have to try better next time. Also I finished the RONDO composition.

Today Mr. Herry gave us some tips on how to use the finale software, he showed us on how to put the lyrics in our composition. The tips were really useful and I will use these tips for making my RONDO composition using the Finale. Mr. Herry also checked our RONDO and told us to insert chords to our composition.

Music Reflection-Week #11

Today I had to update my reflection to the current date in the library. Also to submit the Finale hardcopy and softcopy. I haven't printed out the hardcopy so I owe Mr. Herry 1 homework. Next I also had to make another composition, only this time harder.

Today I reviewed my friends composition and Mr.Herry made comments and gave suggestions for our composition. Also I continued the 3rd and 4th bar of my RONDO composition.

Music Reflection-Week #10

Today I did a test on the history of music and also the notations and the major and minor scales of some of the notes. It turned that I miss a test last Friday and so I did not know much about today's test and I'm hoping for a mediocre score.There is a also a practical lesson where I played a few scales on the saxophone.

This Friday I saw a video clip of a song titled "When You Say Nothing at All". It has a slow tempo and beat. The female artist that sang this song is Alison Krauss. It is a type of popular music. The second song is by Katherine McPhee singing "Over The Rainbow". It is a very relaxing song and the singer performed it well enough, her voice is amazing and she did a few improvisations. The last video clip is a song composed by Adeline Koji with her own composition.

Today is the day i have to perform my own made composition in front of the class. I played my own composition using the saxophone and i did not play it really well. I have to be more confident and i have to practice more everyday.

Today I wrote a reflection on how Mr.Herry teaches us and his strengths and weaknesses. Also I learnt a few m0re on chords and used most of my time to practice in instrument class

Music Reflection-Week #7

• Today was supposed to be the day that we do our own composition assessment but because everyone is not ready, including me, the assessment will be moved to next week. So I practiced my composition and did a rehearsal. I will have to be prepared for next week with my composition.

• Today I did another rehearsal but before that I also learned the chords and what the chords are used for. I am getting more confident by practicing and I will still need to practice everyday. The assessment will be on wednesday

• Today I did my classical music assessment. I played the song "Amazing Grace" with my saxophone. I finished the song successfully but there was a little trouble at the ending. Everyday I practiced the song and my biggest problem is my breathing problem.

24/02/10

• Today I heard my friends and classmates play a classical music on their instrument. I also had to play in front of the class with a partner and played amazing grace on the saxophone. I couldn't get any warm ups so i got a few errors and need to practice more. Friday is a public holiday so I will be doing the assessment next Wednesday.

Music Reflection-Week #4

• Today what I did for music class was reviewing my composition and take any feedbacks if available. Also I saw Mr. Herry teach us on hhw to make a blog for our relflection. I think that my composition is still too complicated and needs to be edited again. By Friday I have to make my final draft of the composition.

• Today because I did not finish my homework, I had to finish my final composition and make the lyrics. It was okay and I will have to review it for next week.
  

Music Reflection-Week #3

• Today I learnt about the AABA composition and did an exercise on it and made my own composition. Making the composition was not that hard and I felt confident and made it seriously. By next meeting I will have to finish my composition.

• Today I did my 32 bars AA'BA' composition on a sheet of paper and I submitted it. There was very few errors and I feel that I need to practice my composition and hear it again. Next task is writing my reflection on this blog and update it till the present date.

Today I haven't done my presentation so I didn't do anything...I only watched my friends's presentations. I'm sorry I have not finished my group presentation. For next week I will have to do my presentation and do my singing assessment.

• Today is the day for our singing assessment. I came first and was confident with my partner but still I was not loud enough. Next time I should have done better. I guess that now the singing assessment is done, next is the 32 bar composition that I will have to make.

• Today is the first day to make a reflection. I learnt about major scales and how to put the notes in order to fit the requirment. Also for today me and my classmates had to sing "Over the Rainbow."For me, this topic is a good introduction for a new term and that it is easy to understand. For next week I will have to make a group presentation on Classical and Popular Music.

• For today what I did was sing the song "Blowin in the Wind" with my group in front of the class. Also we made a brainstorm of our group presentation and presented it. My singing could have been better if I was more confident and I could have improved. Next I will have to make the real presentation with my group.
